Championing UK Real Estate Through Data and Research
Real Estate:UK’s mission is to champion the UK real estate sector, and the provision of high-quality, objective data and research is central to achieving this aim.
The publications presented here bring together the long-standing data reports produced by the three founding members of Real Estate:UK. These include the BPF Quarterly Build-to-Rent (BTR) report, created in partnership with Savills; the MSCI/AREF UK Quarterly Property Fund Index; and the IPF UK Commercial Property Consensus Forecasts (published quarterly), alongside the half-yearly European Office Rental Forecasts. A more recent addition is the IPF’s quarterly Residential Investor Sentiment Survey.
Alongside these data reports sit the outputs of the new Real Estate:UK Research Programme. This dedicated initiative, overseen by the Research Board, produces reports on topical and structural issues within the real estate market. The Programme has its roots in the Investment Property Forum (IPF) Research Programme, established in 2003 with sponsorship from the IPF, the IPF Educational Trust and 16 organisations from the real estate investment market. The IPF Research Programme ran for over 20 years, and its reports remain available to download from the Resource Library.
IPF Spring 2026 UK Residential Investor Sentiment Survey
This quarterly survey, first published in early 2024, covers two main segments of the UK residential market: Build-to-Rent (BTR) multifamily apartment blocks and BTR single-family housing. It is based on data received from organisations involved in, or interested in, the institutional residential investment market.
The report highlights expectations for rental value growth, capital value growth, and investment intention trends across UK locations over the next 12 months.
