Policy Seminar - The Commercial Payments Bill and the Future of Retentions

Join Real Estate:UK and BCLP for an evening policy seminar to discuss the Commercial Payments Bill and its implications for real estate construction clients. The seminar will explore the Bill's progress through Parliament and its key proposals, including the proposed ban on retentions in construction contracts. 

We will consider the practical implications for project delivery and viability, impact on funding arrangements, quality assurance, higher-risk buildings and the wider construction supply chain, as well as the viability of alternative approaches to retentions. 

The discussion will also examine the wider role of construction clients in promoting fair payment practices, improving standards across the supply chain and supporting a more productive and resilient construction sector.
