RE:UK is delighted to launch our 2026 Student Wellbeing Guidance for Purpose-Built Student Accommodation operators. The 2026 edition builds on our original 2019 Guidance, which was an essential resource for the sector in guiding initiatives and policies, an overview of the legal framework surrounding student wellbeing, and practical tools to support the sector.
This latest edition recognises that over the past several years, both the PBSA sector and university landscape have evolved, with the student experience markedly different and the PBSA sector increasingly mature in its approach. With that in mind, the 2026 Guidance provides a lighter-touch approach that is focused on signposting relevant issues and sharing best practice – while retaining updated version of the essential legal information and tools from the original Guidance.
Join us and leading PBSA figures to formally launch the 2026 Guidance over a breakfast event, kindly hosted by Pinsent Masons.
Speaker Aglaia Freccero - Student Trustee at Student Minds
Aglaia is a President's PhD scholar in the Division of Psychiatry at Imperial College London, where her research explores AI-informed interventions to support adolescents' mental health. Beyond her academic work, Aglaia is a passionate mental health activist. At Imperial, she held the position of Mental Health Officer, co-leading the development of the institutional mental health strategy. Currently, Aglaia is serving as a lived experience advisor for Rethink Mental Illness and is a newly appointed Student Trustee at Student Minds.
Victoria Goddard -Partner & Head of Universities & HE at Pinsent Masons LLP
Victoria Goddard heads the Pinsent Masons international universities practice, working with over 80 institutions on a wide range of issues that shape student and campus life, including governance, accommodation and student matters. She has worked on some of the largest student accommodation developments in the sector and has helped shape how these projects are delivered today. Current projects include over 3,000 beds for the University of Manchester and LSE’s development at Bankside.
Alongside her work with universities, Victoria has supported the student community more directly, including as a former trustee of the student mental health charity Student Minds and through mentoring undergraduates.
